As usual, 100% of profits will go to Target Ovarian Cancer.

DECEMBER 12th

We were honoured to be invited by Target Ovarian Cancer to be guests at The Royal Chapel in the Tower of London for a candlelit carol service on Monday evening. We met with so many amazing people who work tirelessly to raise the profile of TOC through awareness and fund-raising.

The evening was hosted by Reverend Canon Roger Hall MBE and featured the Choir of the Chapels Royal and guest readers including TV presenter Sarah Greene, who is an honorary patron, and actress Annette Badland who is an ambassador.
It was a moving experience we will never forget, and it was wonderful to meet others who, like us, are missing loved ones, and who devote their time and energy to supporting TOC. It was very encouraging to meet with survivors, but also sad to learn that there are cases of Ovarian Cancer affecting women as young as 13 years of age.
We attended this remarkable event on your behalf, as YOU are the people who are making the difference in the fight against this disease. Without your support we could not accomplish what we have done, and what we will continue to do.
For us, of course, you are also helping to keep Rebecca’s / Bocca’s memory alive and shining.
Thank you so much,
Gill and Frank xx 🌈

FUNDRAISING UPDATE.

Back in February our total stood at £38,741.50.
Thanks to the great work by Yvonne Worton and a further donation from Frances Biseker who has woven more scarves, we are delighted that the total confirmed by Target Ovarian Cancer today is £39,041.50.
We are moving into the 'Craft Fayre' season and so we are hopeful of raising even more this summer.

Alongside this, as always, we are continuing to distribute awareness leaflets and TOC pin badges at every event

Watch out for details of these events and new products coming soon to the online store.

Yvonne Worton has again worked her easter magic.

In previous years her easter chicks and little sheep have captivated everyone. This year she has come up with some wonderful knitted baskets with a cluster of mini eggs.
Sales have reached £190 and we are truly grateful for another contribution to the legacy funds.
Thank you so much Yvonne and everyone who has purchased a basket.

The awareness raised is incalculable and we are so grateful to everyone involved.
It doesn't end there as Emma Jayne Crowley continues with her 50 miles in January epic run. She is approaching the half distance mark and it's only the 12th. We are so proud of her efforts.
Please support her if you can. Look below at the January 1st post for the link

LANGLEY BAND

Gill has been a member of Langley Brass Band for over 40 years.
Each year the Band nominates a charity or good cause to support. This is through their concerts at The Barlow Theatre in Langley, and their Christmas Carol playing at local venues, taking collections at each event.
In 2023 they chose Bocca's Legacy - Supporting Target Ovarian Cancer and have given us £1,000 to forward to TOC.
Many of the band knew Rebecca, and she occasionally played Tenor Horn with them before she went to University.
We are so grateful for their efforts in raising valuable funds and awareness throughout the year.
The picture below was taken at the Christmas concert at THe Barlow Theatre.

SUPPORT EMMA IN JANUARY

Our great supporter and Bocca's Legacy - Supporting Target Ovarian Cancer group member Emma Jayne Crowley is taking part in the TOC Target 50. This is to run a total of 50 miles in January.
Emma is not normally a runner, so this is a huge effort for her and a personal target.
Her daily reports are logged on her special page (link below).
Please follow and support her in this brilliant effort. All the money raised will be added to our total.
What a great way to start the year
